공부에 관한 말들인데.... 하버드 도서관 여기저기에 적혀있던 것들이라고 하는데 사실인지는 모르겠어요 ^^

중간고사 앞두고 있는 녀석들에게 읽어주려고 스크랩해두었답니다.

 

1. 지금 잠을 자면 꿈을 꾸지만, 지금 공부하면 꿈을 이룬다.

Sleep now you will be dreaming, Study now you will be achieving your dream.

   

2. 내가 헛되이 보낸 오늘은 어제 죽은 이가 갈망하던 내일이다. 

Today that you wasted is the tomorrow that a dying person wished to live. 

 

3. 늦었다고 생각했을 때가 가장 빠른 때이다. 

When you think its too late for you to start, it is the earliest time you can start.

   

4. 오늘 할 일을 내일로 미루지 마라. 

Dont put off till tomorrow what you can do today. 

 

5. 공부할 때의 고통은 잠깐이지만, 못 배운 고통은 평생이다. 

The pain of study is only for a moment, but the pain of not having studied is forever. 

 

6.공부는 시간이 부족한 것이 아니라, 노력이 부족한 것이다. 

In study its not the lack of time, but lack of effort. 

 

7. 행복은 성적순이 아닐지 몰라도 성공은 성적순이다. 

Happiness is not proportional to the academic achievement, but success is. 

 

8. 공부가 인생의 전부는 아니다. 그러나 인생의 전부도 아닌 공부 하나도 정복하지 못한다면 과연 무슨 일을 할 수 있겠는가? 

Study is not everything in life, but if you are unable to conquer study thats only a part of life, what will you be able to achieve in life?

   

9. 피할 수 없는 고통은 즐겨라. 

You might as well enjoy the pain that you can not avoid. 

 

10. 남보다 더 일찍 더 부지런히 노력해야 성공을 맛 볼 수 있다. 

To taste success, you shall be earlier and more diligent. 

 

11. 성공은 아무나 하는 것이 아니다. 철저한 자기 관리와 노력에서 비롯된다. 

Success doesnt come to anyone, but it comes to the self-controlled and the hard-working. 

 

12. 시간은 간다. 

The time never stops.

   

13. 지금 흘린 침은 내일 흘릴 눈물이 된다. 

Saliva you drooled today will tears falling tomorrow. 

 

14. 개같이 공부해서 정승같이 놀자. 

Study like a dog and play like a premier.

   

15. 오늘 걷지 않으면 내일 뛰어야 한다. 

If you dont walk today, you have to run tomorrow. 

 

16. 미래에 투자하는 사람은 현실에 충실한 사람이다. 

A person who invest in tomorrow, is the person who is faithful to today. 

 

17. 학벌이 돈이다. 

The academic clique is money itself. 

 

18. 오늘 보낸 하루는 내일 다시 돌아오지 않는다. 

Today never returns again tomorrow. 

 

19. 지금 이 순간에도 적들의 책장은 넘어가고 있다. 

At this moment, your enemies books keep flipping 

 

20. 고통이 없으면 얻는 걷도 없다. 

No pains No gains.

   

21. 꿈이 바로 앞에 있는데, 당신은 왜 팔을 뻗지 않는가? 

Dream is just in front of you, Why not stretch your arm?

   

22. 눈이 감기는가, 그럼 미래를 향한 눈도 감긴다. 

If you close your eyes to the present, the eyes for the future close as well. 

 

23. 졸지 말고 자라. 

Sleep instead of dozing. 

 

24. 성적은 투자한 시간의 절대량에 비례한다. 

Academic ahievement is directly proportional to the absolute amount of time invested. 

 

25. 가장 위대한 일은 남들이 자고 있을 때 이뤄진다. 

Most great ahievements happen while others are sleeping. 

 

26. 지금 헛되이 보낸 이 시간이 시험을 코앞에 앞둔 시점에는 얼마나 절실하게 느껴지겠는가? 

Just before the examination, how desperate would you feel the time you are wasting now? 

 

27. 불가능이란 노력하지 않는 자의 변명이다. 

Impossibility is the excuse made by the untried. 

 

28. 노력의 대가는 이유 없이 사라지지 않는다. 

The payoff of efforts never disappear without redemption. 

 

29. 최선을 다하여 최고를 정복하라. 

Pursue the top. The maximum endeavor. And to the beginning for the effort of the maximum for a top intend. 

 

30. 한 시간 더 공부하면, 더 나은 남편(부인)을 만날 수 있다. 

One more hour of study, you will have a better husband(wife).
