<숫자 읽는 법>

(1) <자연수 읽는 법> :
기수와 서수로 나누어 읽는다.
영어 숫자 (기수/량 및 서수/순서)
*참고 : 숫자는 아래와 같이 셋으로 나눈다.
자연수 : 1, 2, 3 ~ 등
분수 : 1/2, 1/3, 2/5 ~ 등
소수 : 0.7, 1.5, 1.58, 2.79 ~ 등

아래를 보면 13, 14, ~ 19까지는 두 음절 모두 같은 1차 강세가 오고
30, 40, ~ 90까지는 앞 음절에 강세, 뒤 음절은 약 음절이 된다.

(1) 전화번호 (213) 567 8791 ==> 2/1/3 5/6/7/ 8/7/9/1 번호 하나 씩 읽는다.
(2) 집 주소 또는 일반적인 숫자 *기수로 읽는다.
1 ==> one
12 ==> 1/2 or 12 *one two or twelve
123 ==> 1/2/3 or 1/23 *one two three or one twenty three
1234 ==> 1/2/3/4 or 12/34
12345 ==> 1/23/45
*숫자가 셋 이상이면 뒤에서 두 자리씩 끊어 읽는 게 일반적이다.
접수 번호 236 ==> 2/36 *two hundred thirty six 같이 읽지 않는다.

(2) <분수 읽는 법>
기수(cardinal number) : 하나, 둘, 셋 등의 수(량)를 말함. one two
서수(ordinal number) : 첫 번째, 두 번째 등 순서의 숫자를 말함. first second
(1) 분자는 기수로 읽는다.
(2) 분모는 서수로 읽는다. * 분자가 2 이상일 땐 분모에 s 를 붙임.

주의 할 것
(1) five -> fifth *fiveth (x)
- 끝에 e를 빼고 v를 f로 바꾼 뒤 th 붙임.
(2) nine -> ninth *nineth(x)
- 끝에 e를 빼고 th 를 붙임
(3) twelve -> twelfth *twelveth(x)
- 끝에 e를 빼고 v를 f로 바꾼 뒤 th 붙임
(4) twenty -> twentieth *twentyth(x)
- 끝에 y를 ie로 바꾼 뒤 th 붙임.

1) 0.5 == zero point five
2) 0.61 == zero point six one
3) 0.916 == zero point nine one six
4) 2.51 == two point five one
5) 10.321 == ten point three two one
6) 25.0001 == twenty five point zero zero zero one

7) 0.2611 == zero point two five one one
or zero point two five double one
